Lebanon, seen with the polish of a fashion film.
Meaazabni Al Hawa is a 2017 music film for Yara, produced for Music Is My Life and directed by Nassif Al Rayess.
The creative idea was to reveal a different side of Yara on screen: elegant, independent and emotionally exposed, moving through Lebanon with the confidence and atmosphere of a European fashion film.
Lebanon was not treated as a backdrop. The roads, the Bekaa, the coast and Beirut became part of the emotional language of the film.
The landscape was Lebanese. The point of view made it feel new.

Heartbreak without stillness.
The song carries emotional pain, but the film was never designed around collapse. Its visual language is built around movement, memory and a woman continuing forward while a relationship shifts underneath her.
Rather than explain everything literally, the story moves between present time and fragments of memory. Roads, water, architecture, gestures and small objects carry the emotional information, allowing the audience to assemble the relationship rather than simply being told what happened.
Heartbreak was the story. Movement was the attitude.
A Lebanese road movie in miniature.
The journey moves from the Bekaa toward Beirut and the Mediterranean, letting the geography change with the emotional rhythm of the song. Open landscapes give way to the coast, interiors and city nights.
The visual references were international, but the identity stayed local. The ambition was not to make Lebanon look like somewhere else. It was to photograph familiar places with enough precision and movement that they could feel unfamiliar again.
Built for movement.
Camera movement, aerial photography, water work and layered imagery were used selectively to keep Yara in motion and let memory enter the present visually. Every technical choice had one purpose: support the emotional progression of the film.
The official music video was released on 23 September 2017. Credits include lyrics by Ahmad Madi, music by Tarek Abou Jaoude and arrangement by Hadi Sharara.
