A spiritual journey of faith, endurance, and transformation

Khallik Aatul is a spiritual music film inspired by a deeply personal experience, bringing together Lebanese singer-songwriter and composer Antoine Zayoun and filmmaker Nassif Al Rayess in a creative collaboration rooted in trust, memory, and faith. After reconnecting twenty years later, what began as a simple invitation evolved into a thoughtful act of translation: carrying a personal musical testimony into a cinematic experience.

Produced by Spred Studios in collaboration with Valiant Sheep Records, the film transforms Antoine’s modern Lebanese Christian rock song into a visual journey about answering the call, enduring the road, and allowing faith to shape the person we become.

The decision to integrate AI was a deliberate creative risk. For a song so personal and spiritual, the challenge was to ensure that technology served the emotion rather than overpowering it.

In this project, AI did not replace the human presence at the heart of the film. It amplified the story, the performance, and the cinematic vision behind it.

A poetic music film that blends real performance, natural light, spiritual storytelling, and AI-assisted cinematic creation into a calm fantasy visual world.

Directed by Nassif Al Rayess, Khallik Aatul unfolds through two parallel arcs between past and present. In the past, Antoine appears as an astronaut crossing a vast, silent world, representing the old self moving through silence, resistance, and uncertainty as faith deepens and purpose is revealed. In the present, he stands in a world of color, peace, music, and spiritual completion, expressing his transformation through a performance that becomes an act of worship.

From a production perspective, Khallik Aatul was developed as an experimental yet efficient filmmaking model. By combining real locations with some of today’s most advanced AI cinematic techniques, the team expanded the scale of the film while reducing the dependency on traditional high-budget production structures.

Filmed between a controlled studio interior and the natural landscapes of Lebanon’s Laklouk mountains, Khallik Aatul grounds its calm fantasy world in real environments, bringing together natural light, live performance, and AI-assisted cinematic imagery into a cohesive visual language.

The film’s symbolic imagery was crafted with delicacy and intention, guiding the audience toward the spiritual essence of Antoine’s journey. Through these elements, Khallik Aatul becomes a visual conversation between Antoine and Jesus: a reminder to have faith, keep going, and trust that every obstacle on the road is shaping us for the destination ahead.

Believed to be among the first professional music videos in Lebanon to combine real performance with a fully AI-assisted cinematic world, Khallik Aatul reflects a new direction for music filmmaking in the region, one where human presence remains at the center while technology opens new visual possibilities.

“… I approached Khallik Aatul not as an outsider, but as someone invited to translate something deeply personal,” said director Nassif Al Rayess. “For me, the film is about looking back at the old self through the eyes of someone already transformed by grace.”
